Truth Is: I Struggle With Insecurity
Sometimes I am insecure.
I find security in all the wrong places. Most of the time, I find security in 4 places: achievement, winning, self sufficiency, and performance. This never works. No matter how hard I try, I seem to consistently underachieve, lose , drop the ball or end up relying on someone else for help.
Sometimes I feel like Gideon:
Judges 6:15-16 “But Lord,” Gideon asked, “how can I save Israel? My clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my family.”
Have you ever said those things? “how can I?” “My clan is weak.” “I am the least.”
Well, if so, God says this: 16 The LORD answered, “I will be with you, and you will strike down all the Midianites together.”
God is with you! He called you. He prepared you. He sent you. And he will go with you. What are you worried about?
Here are some rules I follow:
-NEVER compare myself to others.
-have GENUINE humility.
-desire God’s will MORE than my own.
-remember that GOD IS WITH ME!
